Over the last couple of tidbits in this series, I have used the following quote from professor Ibram Kendi to reveal the liberal position on what they call ‘social justice’: "When you truly believe that the racial groups are equal, then you also believe that racial disparities are the result of racial discrimination”.
-Ibram Kendi, University Professor, Author, Professional activist To refute Dr Kendi, I am using Dr Thomas Sowell’s great work, ‘Social Justice Fallacies.’ Let’s move forward. On page 23, Dr Sowell writes, “Within the United States, the median per capita income of such Asian ethnic groups as those of Chinese, Japanese, Indian, and Korean ancestry is more than twice as high as the median per capita income of Mexican Americans. These Asian groups also have higher median per capita incomes than the median per capita of White Americans. Asian Indians have nearly three times the median per capita incomes of Mexican Americans, and a median per capita income more than $15,000 a year higher than the median per capita of White Americans. Among full-time, year-round male workers, Asian Indian males earned over $39,000 a year more than white male full-time, year round workers.” Sowell continues, “Is this the 'white supremacy' we are so often warned about in some quarters? Even among low-income, non-white groups, there is considerable overlap with the incomes of White Americans. For example, 2020 census data show more than 9 million black Americans with higher incomes than the median incomes of White Americans. There are also thousands of Black millionaire families, and even several Black billionaires, including Tiger Woods and Oprah Winfrey.”* On page 24, Sowell writes, “Nevertheless, economic differences between different groups are a special concern when discussing different rates of poverty. For example, the poverty rate among Black American families as a whole has long been higher than the poverty rate among White American families as a whole. But, over a span of more than a quarter century since 1994, in no year has the annual poverty rate of Black ‘married-couple’ families been as high as 10 percent. And in no year in more than half a century since 1959 has the national poverty rate of Americans as a whole been as low as 10 percent.” “If Black family poverty is caused by 'systemic racism,' do racists make an exception for Blacks who are married? Do racists either know or care whether Blacks are married?” “By contrast, single-parent families have much higher poverty rates than married-couple families, whether they are Black or White. White, female-headed, single-parent families have had a poverty rate more than double the poverty rate of Black-married couple families in every year from 1994 to 2020, the latest year for which data are currently available. If “White supremacists” were so powerful, how could this happen?” “Male headed, single-parent families are rarer than female-headed, single-parent families, among both Blacks and Whites. White, male-headed, single-parent families have had a lower rate of poverty than White, female-headed, single-parent families. Nevertheless, White, male-headed, single-parent families have also had a higher poverty rate than Black married-couple families, in every year from 2003 to 2020. Statistical differences between races are not automatically due to race---either in the sense of being caused by genetics or being a result of racial discrimination. Differences in the proportion of single-parent families among various racial groups are other differences that affect differences in income. So, are differences in median age, and in education, among other factors.” “Just as income disparities are by no means unique among American racial or ethnic groups, neither are disparities within such groups necessarily any less than disparities between these groups.” One page 25, Sowell argues, “In New York City, for example, in school year 2017-2018 there were ‘dozens’ of places in low-income minority neighborhoods where public charter schools and traditional public schools, serving the same local community, were housed in the same buildings. When Black and Hispanic students in both kinds of schools took the same statewide test in mathematics, the charter school students achieved the official “proficient” level in mathematics more than 6 times as often as the children of the same ethnicities in traditional public schools housed in the very same buildings. These are huge disparities within the same groups, so that neither race nor racism can account for these huge differences. Nor can culturally biased tests.” In conclusion, Dr Sowell repeatedly uses facts to refute the liberal ideology of “Disparities in income equals White racism” argument! However, what I find most amazing is that liberals such as Ibram Kendi, along with Kimberly Crenshaw, Derek Bell, Robin DiAngelo, Nicole Hannah Jones, Tim Wise, Michael Eric Dyson, Mark Lamont Hill, etc., can still have such great influence making an argument that possesses such overwhelming, irrefutable, contradictory evidence! However, I do understand the two reasons for their influence: 1. money and 2. political power! Liberals are awarded considerable positions of societal power and are paid large sums of money--to advance racism and division in America! Tragically, we now live in the day of 2 Thessalonians 2:9: “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie!” *If you want to see the many footnotes in the book to determine the source of Dr Sowell’s facts, you will have to purchase the book. I purposefully left them out. Quotebit You can define ‘finite’, only within the definition of the ‘infinite’! You can define ‘limited’, only within the definition of ‘unlimited’! You can define ‘man’, only within the definition of ‘God’! You can define ‘enough’, only within the definition of ‘more than enough’, i.e.abundance!
