Liberal America via Brittney Griner

   Brittney Griner is a 6’8” Woman’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) bona-fide star! She is not only tall, but athletic, can score, dribble, pass, and yes…even dunk! Simply…the girl can HOOP! For her skill, she is one of the highest paid woman’s Hoop stars in the world. I have seen several interviews, and she is articulate, bright, fun-loving. She is your average, mid-twenties young woman just wanting to live life.
   She comes to be a topic of this tidbit because I was asked to write my thoughts about the news of her lesbian relationship with fellow WNBA star Glory Johnson, and their new born twin babies. Much controversy surrounded the couple after they had a public brawl, were arrested, married, divorced, all within 28 days; and each was later suspended seven games by the WNBA for their public conduct. Furthermore, Brittney was court-ordered to pay Glory 2516/month in child support, and 2835/month for two nannies to care for the twins.
   My first thought: A Pandora’s Box. Pandora’s Box originates in Greek Mythology, which contends that Pandora, the first creation of the Greek gods, opens a box where evil escapes, and increases to the point she cannot close it. The idea has a Biblical application! The principle of sowing and reaping as it relates to sin (Gal6:7,8;Gen8:22) is that not only will you reap negative consequences for sin, but you may not be able to stop additional unknown linked evil! The Bible calls sin “the mystery of iniquity” (2Thes2:7), meaning sin needs revelation from God to recognize its existence and, one cannot know the full consequences of sin until it is often too late. Therefore, sin is very much like a Pandora’s Box.
  The Griner-Johnson situation is wrought with all kinds of negative consequences, problems, and never before seen situations. Yet, their problems are consequences of an America has left the God of the Bible; the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Although both Griner and Johnson are accountable for their actions before God, their situation was created by a Liberal America’!
  Watching the video on Sporting News (http://www.sportingnews.com/nba-news/4703075-brittney-griner-child-support-glory-johnson-for-twins) of the reporter reporting as if the Griner-Johnson situation is a normal, average day in America is evidence that liberalism has ‘almost’ completed the replacement of the Judaeo/Christian ethic.
 
Moral Confusion
  Brittney divorced Glory because under the moral code of lesbianism, a pregnant woman equals cheating! Yet, cheating is a term used to describe adultery in a Biblical worldview of marriage between a man and a woman. How then can Brittney rationally use God’s word as a standard to call-out Glory’s adultery, while simultaneously living in a homosexual relationship which rejects God’s word? If ignoring thousands of years of law from every nation, ethnicity, and religion requiring male-female marriage is now permissible, by what authority should we (and Griner) now restrict marriage to two people?
   Moreover, why is Brittney required to pay more child-support? The obvious answer is that Brittney assumes the male role in the relationship. Therefore, even the ‘legal process’ treats her like the man in a normal divorce scenario. Interestingly, in homosexuality, one partner plays the male role, and the other the female role…but…but…but….why does this exist? Again, the obvious answer is in the natural (Rom1:26,27) course of human existence (and marriage), there exists two roles(Mat19:1-4), i.e. two genders. If you disagree, why does only the female species carry offspring? Why does only the human male determine the sex of that offspring? Why does only the female produce the egg, and only the male produce sperm? If you still unconvinced, why did Glory have to go to a fertility clinic to get inseminated? Or, why does lesbianism consider it impossible for a partner to become pregnant in spite of all their sex?
  However, the greatest tragedy of this situation is the atmosphere in which the twins (and all children raised in the moral kaos of contemporary liberal authority) will be raised. Following are psychologically revealing facts:
-Glory says she has no biological connection to the infants
-Brittney was forced to pay child support.
-Glory married a Brittney and yet contends she is not a lesbian.
-Love cannot exist apart from truth!!
  Finally, the idea that every child has a right to a father and mother is a God-given, scientific, irrefutable fact! Both Brittney and Glory have a father and a mother! Yet, probably the worst part of all this is that those beautiful, innocent twins, will be deprived by the power of the state…of a father and a mother.
  As the state traditionally stands for power, it can use force to make people comply…or destroy them! Regardless of whether Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson are Christians, their case is evidence of America’s Pandora’s box! Simply, it is a premonition of liberalism’s progressive increase in attacks on God, the Bible, Christians, Jews, and ultimately any person who won’t submit to their agenda!
   The good news is that God still reigns! His providence empowers us to snatch victory from the jaws of evil. Our God can even take evil and make it good to us and for us.
