In the first tidbit, I wrote that Dr Martin Luther King’s Civil Rights movement was inspired by God’s gift of freedom to ‘all’ people, because that gift ultimately originated in the image and likeness of God. Yet, what is also true is that Dr King’s moral right agreed with the God-ordained purpose of freedom given to America to secure that freedom! In other words, one of the purposes of God ordained the existence of America is Freedom…not just for blacks, not just for Americans…but for all men! Hence, from God’s perspective, the calling of America to freedom, is hand-in-glove with the calling of Dr King, offering more irrefutable support to the fact that--All Lives Matter!
To support my contention of America’s purpose of freedom, allow me to offer just a few statements of our past presidents: -"Almighty God hath created the mind free, and...all attempts to influence it by temporal punishments...tend only to begat habits of hypocrisy and meanness, and are a departure from the plan of the Holy Author of religion, who being Lord both of body and mind, yet chose not to propagate it by coercions on either, as was in his Almighty power to do, but to extend it by its influence on reason alone." -Thomas Jefferson, 1/16/1786, author of the Declaration of Independence. -"The Declaration of Independence gave liberty not alone to the people of this country, but hope to all the world for all future time. It was that which gave promise that in due time the weights would be lifted from the shoulders of all men, and that all should have an equal chance. This is the sentiment embodied in the Declaration of Independence. I would rather be assassinated on this spot than surrender it" (emphasis mine). -Abraham Lincoln, 2/1861 -“History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid." – Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower -"We in this country, in this generation, are by destiny rather than choice - the watchmen on the walls of world freedom. (emphasis mine) -John F Kennedy What I find most perplexing about the increasingly popular ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement, and is just ‘one’ of many pieces of evidence for a lack of Holy Spirit inspiration, is their affinity to resist the absolute, God-given, God-inspired truth that “All lives matter”. Alicia Garza, co-founder of BLM said regarding ‘all lives matter’, “Please do not change the conversation by talking about how your life matters. …we need less watered down unity and a more active solidarities with us, Black people, unwaveringly, in defense of our humanity.” The “tired trope that we are all the same, perpetuates a level of White supremacist domination.” BLM began with the Trayvon Martin death in Florida, and exploded with the Michael Brown case in Ferguson, Missouri. In contrast to Ms Garza, following are some facts regarding ‘Black’ lives. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), in 2012, 123 blacks were shot by police. Interestingly, over double the number of whites and Hispanics died from police guns! That same year of 2012 found over 6000 blacks were shot and killed, almost exclusively by other blacks! Just using statistics, allow me to build my case: 2012 deaths of African Americans: -Police shootings -123 (CDC, 2012) -HIV deaths-5,686 -Homicides-8,206 (22 per day) (6,000 through guns) -Diabetes death-11,934 -Accidental deaths-12,215 -Cancer deaths-63,279 -Heart disease-69,918* Using simple arithmetic, combined ‘Black’ deaths annually is 171,361! Yet incredibly, ‘Black’ abortions annually total an astounding 363,705 (996/day)!!! In other words, ‘Black’ abortions more than double the total combined number of all other means of ‘Black’ death!!! Five questions remain: 1.Why do I hear the media, entertainment, and academia ‘SHOUTING’ nearly from every rooftop, “POLICE BRUTALITY” and “WHITE RACISM”**--but to this day, I have heard precious little of anything regarding ‘ANY’ of the other causes of ‘Black’ death…with special emphasis on abortion, the leading cause of ‘Black’ death?!?! 2.Why has the group with the actual name of ‘Black Lives Matter’ spoken only about the area responsible for the fewest number of ‘Black’ deaths? 3.Is the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement ignorant of these statistics? 4.Can you actually take a movement seriously who contends they support ‘Black’ lives, when the vast bulk of their attention is on .000229% of ‘Black’ deaths? Out of every 100,000 black deaths, BLM focuses on 23, ignoring 99,977! 5.Do you really think the BLM movement is apolitical? “…who suppress the truth in unrighteousness…”Rom1:19 I suggest a few answers: 1.The cry of ‘racism’ agitates, and stirs-up animosity… in the masses! 2.The cry of ‘racism’ centralizes, i.e. gathers power to the few! 3.The cry of ‘racism’ demands money from power, i.e. the government, and the liberal rich! 4.The inspiration behind a movement is the key to that movement! Unlike Dr Martin Luther King’s Civil Rights movement, these ‘few’ facts confirm the inspiration behind BLM is not the God of the Bible! * TooManyaborted.com **To liberalism, ‘police brutality’ is the face of ‘white racism’! On August 28, 1963, Dr Martin Luther King gave his “I have A Dream” speech, which is arguably one of the most famous speeches in American history. That day, the racially diverse, massive crowd at the Lincoln Memorial was drawn by the ‘presence’ and ‘belief’ of a ‘higher moral authority’ on human freedom. That authority can be discovered through a consideration of a few of Dr King’s statements that day:
1. “…a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand signed the Emancipation Proclamation…” Of course, referring to President Abraham Lincoln. 2.“When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence” 3.“…for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone.” 4.“I still have dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.” 5.“I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.” Taken from Isaiah 40:4,5, of the Bible. These statements reveal three initial areas of authority: 1.Declaration of Independence (1774) and Constitution (1787) 2.Emanicpation Proclamation (1863) 3.Bible First, through a bit of research, we find the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution have their roots in the Bible*. Second, after many intense personal internal and external conflicts throughout the year of 1862, in fulfillment of a promise to God, Abraham Lincoln declared the Emancipation Proclamation at midnight of 1863. Third, Dr King quoted Isaiah 40:4,5 during the course of his speech. And finally, Dr King was a preacher of the gospel, whom God obviously raised up for “such a time as this” (Est4:14). To the truth-seeker, it is crystal clear from just these four facts, that there exists an obvious providential trail, pointing to the handiwork of God. Therefore, we can technically reduce the above three areas of authority to one: the Word of God! In other words, the moral authority of the 1960’s Civil Rights movement, as lead by Dr Martin Luther King, was exclusively, and irrefutably a Holy Spirit inspired movement! Furthermore, America’s call to freedom did not begin with Dr King’s 1960’s Civil Rights movement, but dates back to her founding! For this reason, Dr King appealed both to the American founders, and the Bible for his authority! Many facts attest to this great truth. For example, a witness of freedom from every President in American history! Our second president John Adams said, “…it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand.” The “religion” to which President Adams referred was not Hinduism, Buddhism, or Islam…but Christianity! Or, how about Abraham Lincoln who declared at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, 1861: "The Declaration of Independence gave liberty not alone to the people of this country, but hope to all the world, for all future time. It was that which gave promise that in due time the weights would be lifted from the shoulders of all men, and that all should have an equal chance. This is the sentiment embodied in the Declaration of Independence... I would rather be assassinated on this spot than surrender it." Or, what about the Bible verse Leviticus 25:10 permanently engraved on the 1753 Liberty Bell: “…and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.” In conclusion, ‘American freedom’ was not only designed for Black people, or even only for Americans--but all peoples of the world! Why? All freedom originates in God’s love, and is a calling of God (Gal5:13 1Pet2:16, 2Cor3:17)…to all men! Therefore, Dr King’s moral authority for ‘freedom’ originated not in some liberal humanist philosopher’s supposed ‘human rights’ declaration, but in the Bible, which declares: all men possess the image and likeness of God (Gen1:28); therefore, all men were created equal; therefore, all men are free! Hence, the 1960’s civil rights movement was Holy Spirit inspired!! For this reason alone—All Lives Matter! *See books: Defending the Declaration by Gary Amos; and Christianity and the Constitution by John Eidsmoe. QuoteBit "Even if he fails again and again to accomplish his purpose -- as he must until weakness is overcome -- the strength of character gained will be the measure of his true success, and this will form a new starting point for future power and triumph.” -As A Man Thinketh The name “judgment-free zone” sounds interesting! I’m sure most have not heard of it. What is it? It is a company policy of Planet Fitness health center. Planet Fitness provides people with space to work-out; get fit; lose weight; and in general, become happy with their physical make-up.
As a matter of fact, this intriguing PF policy name has a Biblical ring to it. Even liberals love the Bible verse, “Judge not, that you be not judged” (Matt7:1). Be that as it may, this Planet Fitness policy makes many unassuming Christians smile, “Wow, Planet Fitness is not only the most inexpensive fitness facility, it has a Christian undertone!” On the other hand, not so fast ladies, hold on to your skirts! And, I mean that literally! In March of 2015, Yvette Cormier, a patron of Planet Fitness, encountered a “large, tall man”, while in PF’s woman’s locker room. Can you imagine her shock! Like any normal woman, she scurried out to tell Planet Fitness authorities; AND, like any normal woman, began telling other female patrons that a man was the locker room! Again, like any normal woman, she left the facility in an understandable state of consternation. Several days later, she gets a call from Planet Fitness, who not only did not apologize for the harrowing experience, but accused her of telling other patrons about the presence of a man in the woman’s locker room! Planet Fitness then proceeded to pull out its policy against Ms Cormier. Want to try and guess its name? You get an A, and a move to the head of the class if you answered: “Judgment-free zone!” Planet Fitness declared that it was wrong of Ms Cormier to speak of a “large, tall man” in the female locker room because it constituted a violation of their “judgment-free zone!” Incredibly, this is not even the end of the story. Subsequently, the fitness company terminated Ms Cormier’s membership for refusing not to tell other women! Like any normal woman, she became outraged and brought a law suit. However, the presiding judge over the case, Midland County (Minnesota) Circuit Judge Michael J Beale ruled in favor of Planet Fitness!!! Ms Cormier’s law firm offered the judge’s rational: “Judge Beale’s opinion states that because Ms. Cormier left the locker room before any actual use of the locker room by the man occurred, her claim must be dismissed. Contrary to the plain language of the preamble of the Elliott-Larsen Act, Judge Beale ruled that a policy alone is insufficient to create a hostile environment.”* In other words, the judge ruled that because Ms Cormier left the locker room prior to the man beginning to undress and take a shower, she suffered no harm, and should not have been offended! In other words again, the judge of a County Circuit court argued that Ms Cormier should have waited in the locker room until she was viewed by the “large, tall man” or, she should have waited until she was attacked by the “large, tall man”, and only then would she have a legitimate complaint!! There is an easy solution to this problem. Every Planet Fitness member should immediately cancel their membership! Has America gone completely mad?!?! Yet, I must point out the real culprit in all this: liberalism!! That’s right…sexual perversion is the actual culprit behind a man allowed in bathrooms where women and little girls are in various stages of dress! You must understand, sexual perversion is the face of liberalism! Liberalism puts on the mask of compassion, and tolerance, and kindness, while underneath lay a monster of unimaginable proportions; a beast having the potential to destroy every vestige of the America you once knew!!! The Bible says, “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another” -Gal5:13. This critical verse tells the story of liberalism in a word (or in this case a phrase): turning God’s freedom into the flesh, i.e. a license to sin! Yet again, this is the consequence of a once great America falling for the erroneous liberal interpretation of the separation of church and state which, so contrary to God’s word (Ps67:34), attempts to remove Him from the public eye. The Bible calls this the sin of blasphemy (Ex20:7), a violation of His great name Nissi(Ex17:15), and which means banner or flag! By very definition, God’s great name, which describes His nature, must be lifted-up in a culture, a society, a nation! In agreement, Jesus said, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me” (Jn12:32). To end with a good note, God gives His answer to this dilemma through the prophet Jeremiah: “Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth…” Jer15:19ESV *(http://www.wnd.com/2016/01/planet-freakness-woman-sounds-alarm-on-man-in-shower-she-gets-boot/#qKrQoIKe4oBBI8R6.99) QuoteBit Optimism creates energy and is contagious. – Denis Waitley In ‘Perpetual Abundance’, I wrote about ‘Life-levels and its Provision’.
Life-levels: Provision for Life-levels: 1. Dependence 1. Support 2. Independence 2. Self-sufficiency 3. Interdependence 3. Abundance 4. Generational-legacy 4. Perpetual Abundance Life-levels are levels of existence, each governed by God-designed laws--beginning with the law of work(Gen1:28,2Thes3:10)—allowing each man to reach his greatest potential within the mandate to “…be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth…” Every man, is born into this God-determined sequence, and gifted with a ‘natural propensity’ to move him/her through these life-levels ending with number 4: Generational-legacy & Perpetual Abundance. In other words, first God created the earth(Gen1:10), and filled it (Ps104:24), and especially designed it as a target of man (Gen1:26-28). Then God created man, gifted him the earth(Ps115:16), and gave him an inheritance comprised of: potential, purpose, gifts* and talents*. Within that inheritance, God included the gift of a ‘natural propensity’, or an innate desire for ‘more’. After experiencing the negatives of life, you will often hear people give verbal expression to the internal ambiguity** created by the ‘natural propensity’ as: “There’s got to be more to life than this!” Because God is unsearchable, He created mankind with this ‘natural propensity’ to forever inspire us to pursue the deep things of God (1Cor2:9,10); the unsearchable riches of Christ(Eph3:8,Rom11:33)!! God designed Life-levels as the methodology to scratch the ‘natural propensity’ itch! In 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson, declared war on poverty in his State of the Union address. “Since that time, U.S. taxpayers have spent over $22 trillion on anti-poverty programs (in constant 2012 dollars)” says Robert Rector and Rachel Sheffield of Heritage Foundation in their piece entitled, ‘The War on Poverty After 50 Years’***. Incredibly, Rector and Sheffield go on to write that the 22 trillion dollar amount is “…three times the cost of all military wars in U.S. history since the American Revolution.” Furthermore, presently “government spends 16 times more, adjusting for inflation, on means-tested welfare or anti-poverty programs than it did when the War on Poverty started” in 1965!! In spite of the astronomical amounts of tax-payer money spent on poverty, since 1965, the poverty rate hovers between 11 and 14%. Rector and Sheffield cite empirical evidence that the nuclear family is by far the leading factor affecting poverty! Yet, ‘the family’ reason for poverty is not new, but has been around for decades. Tragically, liberal politicians have been allowed to suppress it (Rom1:18)! There are at least two reasons that an almost 50 year old lie still holds sway: 1.The media. The media exists as a lap dog for liberalism. The media simply shouts ‘RACISM’, drowning out (Rom1:18) any thought contrary to race as the reason for poverty in general, and black poverty specifically. 2.Faith. Because the liberal interpretation of the separation of church and state, which literally means separation of God from the state, is accepted; American blacks have tragically allowed black liberals, to lead them to replace God with government! In other words, liberalism has inspired blacks to seek government as provider, rather than God. For example, although the vast majority of black people are not liberal****, and have never been liberal, blacks prefer ‘liberal’ blacks to speak in their behalf, i.e. Malcom X, Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, Malik Zulu Shabazz, Barack Obama, Melissa Harris-Perry, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Michael Eric Dyson, etc. In other words, and even more shocking, is that black Christians do not weigh the philosophies (thoughts, words, life styles) of the previously mentioned people against the plain teaching of the Bible--because the eight are black! For example, many blacks view the previous people as icons in spite of their contrary views to God’s word! Very simply, because the previous people are black, their blackness is permitted to trump the Word of God! I’m sorry to report, this is idolatry! In spite of the prosperity ‘millions’ of blacks in America now enjoy, blacks often listen to, and are persuaded by any black person who initiates a ‘black’ group, or uses ‘black’ terminology that appears to prefer ‘black’ people, for example Black Panthers, Black Muslims, Black Liberation Theology, Black Lives Matter, etc. In reality, help for humanity, including the poor—regardless of race, comes from obedience to the Lord(Is1:19), the God of the Bible! Simply, neither more black organizations, nor black philosophers, nor more laws against racism, nor more welfare, nor more affirmative action, nor more money handed to the poor, will win the war on poverty! On the contrary, there remains only one answer to poverty, i.e. including black poverty—the Word of God (See Life-levels)! The late gospel singer Andre Crouch put it best, “Jesus is the answer for the world today!” *God-given gifts include that areas of spirit, soul, and body (1Pet4:10,Jms1:17). **The cry of the heart! ***http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2014/09/the-war-on-poverty-after-50-years#_ftnref26 ****Liberalism is the social philosophy/doctrine of the religion of atheism. QuoteBit Most people are just trying to get through the day. Sophisticated people learn how to get from the day. -Jim Rohn Polls are both good and bad. They can be good to help deal with skeptics, atheists, agnostics, and other doubters. However, they can also do damage when they contradict faith, and the believer chooses to believe them instead of the Word of God.
President Obama once said, “Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation.” There are many things I don’t agree with regarding this President, but this quote is probably at, or near the top of the list of my dislikes. Using this poll, I would like to say to President Obama, once again, you have proven to be incorrect. The most recent Gallup poll findings: Religious Identification in the U.S. 2008-2015 Christian religion non-Christian religion None % % % 2008 80.1 5.3 14.6 2009 80.0 4.8 15.3 2010 79.1 4.4 15.3 2011 77.9 4.7 17.5 2012 77.3 4.9 17.8 2013 76.8 5.3 17.8 2014 75.7 5.2 19.0 2015 75.2 5.1 19.6 Through Dec.20, 2015 Gallup Daily tracking http://blackchristiannews.com/2015/12/majority-of-americans-still-identify-as-christians-gallup-poll-finds/ The good news is that Americans still claim Christianity. However, this is good news only to some who feel the need to refute opinions like our president who continue to reject the avalanche of evidence of America’s Christian past. Incredibly, at this point, I must ask why someone who claims to be a Christian would want to deny the nation’s obvious Christian history anyway? The bad news is that this poll means absolutely nothing. The actual spiritual state of America often forces me to reconsider whether President Obama’s detestable evaluation of America is correct! For example, just a few days ago, a new Pew research was released saying that 54% of all Christians in America agree that "homosexuality should be accepted, rather than discouraged, by society." (http://news.yahoo.com/poll-shows-christians-america-really-203719289.html?nf=1) The poll went on to say that 83% of people unaffiliated with religion agreed with homosexuality; and 76% of non-Christian faiths agreed with homosexuality. The percentage for Christians agreeing with homosexuality increased by 10 percentage points from 2007. If this polls reflects “American Christianity”, then the 75% figure from the first poll of is a farce! This sad state of American Christianity is the end result of the influence of liberalism/progressivism--a doctrine of atheism! It is understandable how an unbeliever would get caught in the web of deception of liberalism…but a Christian!? One who supposedly has the Holy Spirit living in him!?! America is at the most serious crossroads in her history!* The Bible speaks of an apostasy, a great falling away from the faith (2Thess2:3). If the Christians of America are not in the ‘falling away’ position, I would like for someone to please tell me what constitutes ‘falling away from the faith’!! I am not one who gives up! I intend to cry out to God in repentance, will someone join me? *That is my positive side speaking. In reality, America appears to be on the other side of the crossroad!
